DONA Birth Doula Training Workshop
This doula training is an 18-hour comprehensive workshop that is for anyone desiring to offer assistance to laboring women. Attendance in this workshop counts as one step toward certification as a DONA International Birth Doula. You can read all the additional requirements at www.dona.org. During this workshop, you will begin to learn doula skills through lecture, video, role-playing, demonstrations, and hands-on practice.

The Value and Role of the Doula
Basic Comfort Measures (Physical, Mental, Emotional, Informational)
DONA International Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics
Prenatal Client Contact (Interview Skills, Prenatal Home Visits, Initiating Physical Touch, Birth Plans, Drawing in the Coach)
